Juliette rubs her eyes with astonishment upon seeing Château le Verdoyer. What a beautiful château! She would love to spend her holiday here.
Le Verdoyer is a campsite owned by Dutch people at a large estate with a restored castle as old as the hills. Juliette loves this campsite because of the impressive buildings and the peaceful vicinity. Le Verdoyer is a member of C’est si Bon. You will be hospitably received at the campsite. The place is a pleasant mix of comfort, nature, intimacy, activity and relaxation. Back to the original values of camping: the rediscovery of cosy holidays in a tent. A way of life Juliette has fallen in love with.
The campsite is situated in the northern part of the Dordogne, the Périgord Vert, consisting of verdant valleys and small lakes in the Parc Naturel Regional Périgord-Limousin. The 15-hectare estate, with plenty of chestnuts and old oaks, has three such lakes. Two lakes – including one right in front of the castle – to fish in and one where you can get via a footpath, with a sandy beach and a safe swimming area.
Le Verdoyer has a beautiful pool complex with pools of three different sizes and a large waterslide of 37 meters. And new in 2016 is an additional indoor heated pool in which you can swim during the low season. During the high season activities are organized for children in the free KidsClub (5 to 13 years). Naturally there is plenty to do and experience on the campsite and in the nearby vicinity. Tennis, table tennis, jeu de boule, horse riding, hiking and much more. There are a lot of small villages with many attractions nearby. Too much to mention: you will probably run out of time.
In the courtyard between the reception and the bar are often organized evening activities and this is also a pleasant place to enjoy a drink and relax. For a good meal, you can go to Restaurant Le Verdoyer or to the Snack Bar.
Le Verdoyer has a small shop where you can buy delicious fresh croissants every day. Of course, the real French baguettes are also available.
Everything is right at this campsite. Juliette is lucky to enjoy her holiday here!
